Questions and answers.

Who is the SPRINT program for?

SPRINT is for athlete-students aged 12 to 21. It is a six-month program in the athlete’s sport on the B1 campus in Barcelona or Dubai, from 1 January to 30 June. It combines B1 training, competition, academics and residence. It is designed for athletes who want to excel in their sport, their studies and their personal development.

How long does SPRINT last, and when does it start?

SPRINT runs from 1 January to 30 June, the second half of the 2026–2027 season. Athletes can join later, subject to availability. During admission, B1 pre-assigns the residence and prepares each athlete’s arrival. Physical and medical tests take place at the start of the program.

Which sports does SPRINT offer?

SPRINT is offered in Football, Basketball, Tennis, Padel, Golf, Futsal, Rugby 7s, Volleyball and Track & Field, with the same formats and prices in every sport. Choose your sport on this page, or tell us in the form.

Do athletes need a level of English or of their sport?

No. All training is 100% in English, and no minimum level of English, Spanish or of the sport is required.

What are the SPRINT formats, and how do they differ?

SPRINT has four formats. SPRINT 360 includes training, residence and academics. SPRINT BOARDING adds residence services to training. SPRINT ACADEMICS adds academic services to training, without residence. SPRINT TRAINING covers training, competition and athlete support. Every format includes the full B1 methodology.

How much does SPRINT cost?

SPRINT tuition starts at €12,330 per season, for SPRINT TRAINING in 2026–2027. SPRINT ACADEMICS is €25,400, SPRINT BOARDING €26,890 and SPRINT 360 €35,690 per season. Prices are the same in every sport.

How do SPRINT athletes keep up with school?

The academic program is taught in English. Athletes get weekly academic support adapted to their training schedule. In Barcelona, Agora Sant Cugat International School offers the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and Diploma. For athletes aged 16 and over, Barcelona also offers a language school (Spanish and Catalan), coaching courses, university access programs and other educational programs. In Dubai, athletes study with Minerva School online. Academic services are part of SPRINT 360 and SPRINT ACADEMICS.

Where do SPRINT athletes live, and who supervises them?

Boarding athletes live in B1’s residences: Alba Viu or Garbí in Barcelona, Yugo Dubailand in Dubai. Each athlete has a private room with bathroom. All meals are included. Supervision and support run 24/7. In Spain, athletes under 18 who do not live with a parent need a legal guardian. Families can name one or use the B1 Legal Guardian Service.

How do I apply to SPRINT, and what happens next?

Send the application form on this page and choose your sport. It has three short steps. The B1 admissions team then contacts you. Once the admission file is open, B1 reviews the athlete’s documents. Families then receive a Conditional Acceptance and Pre-Allocation Letter. Enrollment is confirmed with the first program payment. Athletes aged 12–18 can also start with TRIAL, a six-day evaluation that ends with a program proposal.

Does B1 help with the student visa?

Yes. After reviewing the athlete’s documents, B1 issues a Conditional Acceptance and Pre-Allocation Letter. Families can use it for visa procedures and travel preparation. The letter does not secure a residence place. It does not confirm enrollment either. Before arrival, every athlete needs valid medical insurance. A medical certificate for high-performance training is also required, with relevant medical history.
